No big shock, but the Iranian government is doubling down harder.

This will not end well for anyone. I understand the idea that concessions will only embolden the protesters (sound familiar to anyone here?), but without concessions the crisis will not end well for the government. Of course, this also will mean more death and repression in the short term, and no chance whatsoever on working on the nuclear issue.
