OECD has reached a new milestone!

The OECD has reached its 30th member, and the first South American one, beating even Brazil for entry due to its more open economy.

I'm not an economist by any means, but I've always liked the idea of the OECD, particularly as a carrot for encouraging better behavior. That it can be expanded to include more open economies strikes me as a fundamentally good thing.
